On Modesty

"Once upon a time, in the good old days," Catholics outdid themselves bathing and putting on their Sunday best to enter into the Holy of Holies of the Great King, our Lord Jesus Christ. Modesty and temperance were the norm, and the Marian Code of Dress was adhered to by all faithful Catholics.

Then, in the 1960s, Catholic women abandoned the veil and started donning their peacock hats so they could follow the fashion of Jacqueline Kennedy. Satan then entered the very sanctuary of the Church and now churchgoers are trying to outdo each other in undressing. Immodesty and godless fashions

prevail even in the Holy of Holies. Even pagans dress more appropriately for their pagan banquets than those attending the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Mystery of Faith.

The silence of pastors is leading the flock into a life of moderate apostasy.

Those who do not strive for heroic virtue will eventually lose any natural virtue they may have possessed. St. Padre Pio would not give Holy Communion or absolution to anyone who was immodestly dressed, nor should any holy priest. Let's stand up and be counted!
