Kermit Gosnell, the Jeffrey Dahmer of abortionists

Actually, all abortionists have some degree of Jeffrey Dahmer in them.
How else can people be described who spend their days dismembering children?

But some go deeper off the end than others.

Such a one is Kermit Gosnell. After he and his band of 9 accomplices were arrested
during the night of January 19, a 281-page Grand Jury report was released yesterday
morning that reads no differently than the horrific reports about Dahmer’s apartment or
Nazi concentration camps.

This post will focus on Section IV of the report, “The Intentional Killing of Viable Babies.”
Warning: graphic. Am quoting directly, lifting the most heinous information from 18 pages
of the report including photos of abortion victims after 6 months

Gosnell’s staff testified about scores of gruesome killings of such born-alive infants
carried out mainly by Gosnell, but also by employees Steve Massof, Lynda Williams,
and Adrienne Moton. These killings became so routine that no one could put an exact
number on them. They were considered “standard procedure.” Yet some of the 100
slaughtered were so fully formed, so much like babies that should be dressed and taken
home, that even clinic employees who were accustomed to the practice were shocked.

Baby Boy A

One such baby was a boy born in July 2008 to [a] 17-year-old…. An ultrasound conducted
by Kareema Cross recorded a gestational age of 29.4 weeks. Cross testified that the girl
appeared to be seven or eight months pregnant…. Eventually, she gave birth to a large
baby boy. Cross estimated that the baby was 18 to 19 inches long. She said he was
nearly the size of her own six pound, six ounce, newborn daughter.

After the baby was expelled, Cross noticed that he was breathing, though not for long.
After about 10 to 20 seconds, while the mother was asleep, “the doctor just slit the neck,”
said Cross. Gosnell put the boy’s body in a shoebox. Cross described the baby as so big
that his feet and arms hung out over the sides of the container. Cross said that she saw
the baby move after his neck was cut, and after the doctor placed it in the shoebox.
Gosnell told her, “it’s the baby's reflexes. It’s not really moving.”

The neonatologist testified that what Gosnell told his people was absolutely false. If a
baby moves, it is alive. Equally troubling, it feels a “tremendous amount of pain” when its
spinal cord is severed. So, the fact that Baby Boy A. continued to move after his spinal
cord was cut with scissors means that he did not die instantly. Maybe the cord was not
completely severed. In any case, his few moments of life were spent in excruciating pain.

Cross was not the only one startled by the size and maturity of Baby Boy A. Adrienne
Moton and Ashley Baldwin, along with Cross, took photographs because they knew this
was a baby that could and should have lived. The neonatologist viewed a photograph of
Baby Boy A. Based on the baby's size, hairline, muscle mass, subcutaneous tissue,
well-developed scrotum, and other characteristics, the doctor opined that the boy was at
least 32 weeks, if not more, in gestational age.

Baby Boy A.gif

Gosnell simply noted the baby boy’s size by joking, as he often did after delivering a large baby. According to Cross, the doctor said: “This baby is big enough to walk around with me or walk me to the bus stop.”…

Other babies killed by Gosnell and his staff

… A. Baldwin remembered Gosnell severing the neck of a baby that cried after being born. The baby had “precipitated” [been born] when the doctor was not in the clinic….

Baldwin heard the infant cry. She saw the baby move while it was on the counter. She estimated the infant was at least 12 inches long. When Gosnell arrived at the clinic, she recalled, “he snipped the neck, and said there is nothing to worry about, and he suctioned it [the brains out].”

If Gosnell was absent, his employees would kill viable babies. A. Baldwin saw Steve Massof slit the necks of babies that moved or breathed “five or ten” times. Massof, repeating what he had been taught by Gosnell, told her that that it was standard procedure to cut the spine in all cases….

When Massof left the clinic in 2008, Lynda Williams took over the job of cutting baby’s necks when Gosnell was not there. Cross saw Williams slit the neck of a baby (“Baby C”) who had been moving and breathing for approximately twenty minutes…. Williams called Cross over to look at the baby because it was breathing and moving its arms when Williams pulled on them. After playing with the baby, Williams slit its neck….

Cross testified that a woman had delivered a large baby into the toilet before Gosnell arrived at work for the night. Cross said that the baby was moving and looked like it was swimming. Moton reached into the toilet, got the baby out and cut its neck. Cross said the baby was between 10 and 15 inches long and had a head the size of a “big pancake.”…

Gosnell’s illegal and unorthodox practices resulted in the birth and then killing of many viable, live babies

Killing really had to be part of Gosnell’s plan. His method for performing late-term abortions was to induce labor and delivery of intact fetuses, and he specialized in patients who were well beyond 24 weeks. Thus, the birth of live, viable babies was a natural and predictable consequence….

[Mossof testimony]…

Also, a standard procedure, the cervical spine was cut… I would have to say every week it would happen

to at least 50 percent of the patients…. Those were the larger patients.

Tina Baldwin corroborated that this was Gosnell’s standard procedure. She explained that after a fetus was expelled, Gosnell “used to go ahead and do the suction in the back of the neck.” She saw this “hundreds” of times. Gosnell told her that this was “part of the demise.”

Gosnell severed spinal cords and suctioned and crushed skulls after the babies were fully delivered

At one point in his Grand Jury testimony, Steve Massof tried to suggest that the clinic’s practice of cutting babies’ spinal cords was somehow part of a late-term procedure called intact dilation and extraction (IDX), commonly referred to as “partial birth abortion” and banned under federal law since 2007….

This was not the procedure Gosnell used. Under further questioning, Massof acknowledged that Gosnell and he almost always cut the spinal cords, and sometimes suctioned skulls as well, after the babies were fully expelled by their mothers, when there was clearly no need or medical reason to collapse the skull.

Tina Baldwin… said that he would “crack” the neck after the head was out – when only the baby’s torso was still inside the mother – and then suction the brain matter out.

Tina Baldwin tried to explain:

Q: — the shoulders would be out?

A: The shoulders would be out, yeah.

Q: And he would go work on the neck, you said he would crush the neck and suction the head?

A: Uh-huh.

Q: Did you ever see instances where the fetus was completely expelled from its mother’s body?

A: Oh, yeah, yeah. That’s what we call precipitation.

Q: What do you mean by that?…

A: That’s when a patient would precipitate. Usually by the Cytotec that was given to the patient and it just made the uterus so flimsy to where the baby just falls and we had a lot of patients that was second-trimester, it would just fall wherever she was at. And it was picked up and it was put in a dish and it just traveled with the mother….

Q: And then what would the doctor do when he came in?

A: Let me think back then…. I think that’s when he used to go ahead and do the suction in the back of the neck.

Q: Even though the fetuses had already been removed from their mother?

A: Yeah, they had already been removed. He would just go head and finish it….

The clinic’s employees used the term “snip” to describe the severing of the spinal cord, but this is misleading. Our neonatal expert testified that, because of the bony vertebrae surrounding the spinal cord, it would actually take quite a bit of pressure to cut all the way through the spinal cord and the bone – even at 23 or 24 weeks gestation. At 29 weeks, on babies such as Baby Boy A, the expert said, “it would be really hard.” The baby, we were told, would feel “tremendous pain.”…

Tina Baldwin told the jurors that Gosnell once joked about a baby that was writhing as he cut its neck: “that’s what you call a chicken with its head cut off.”

Although Massof was not as cavalier about what he did, he admitted that there were about 100 instances in which he severed the spinal cord after seeing a breath or some sign of life…

When investigators raided the clinic in February 2010, they sent the fetuses they discovered to the Philadelphia medical examiner’s office. The medical examiner concluded that two of them – aborted at 26 and 28 weeks – were viable, and another, aborted at 22 weeks, was possibly viable. The 28-week fetus, a male (Baby Boy B) had a surgical incision on the back of the neck, which penetrated the first and second vertebrae

Priests for Life calls for probe of
LA Department of Health and Hospitals

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Andre Kim, 347-286-7277

STATEN ISLAND, NY -- Priests for Life has joined a Louisiana pro-life advocate in calling for an independent investigation of that state’s Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH).

Baton Rouge resident Richard Mahoney has uncovered evidence that Delta Women’s Clinic in Baton Rouge has, for decades, falsified medical records and under-reported the number of abortions that result in death or injury to pregnant women. DHH officials have been aware of the practice and have allowed it to continue, he alleges.
Father Peter West, associate director of Priests for Life, is working with Mahoney to expose abuses at DHH and Delta, which has ties to indicted Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell.

Mahoney has documents that show Delta Clinic submits forms to DHH on which many of the boxes had been pre-filled. On two separate forms, the box for “Complication of Pregnancy Termination” have been pre-printed with an “x” next to the “None” response.

“This practice of falsifying legal documents to the DHH’s Office of Vital Records and the medical malpractice and fraud involved in sending forms to the DHH that were … completed prior to seeing any patients, is tantamount to the largest travesty of justice ever perpetrated by the medical establishment under the guise of women’s reproductive health care,” Mahoney said. “In no other branch of medical practice would this be tolerated. The ramifications of these perjuries to the health of women in the United States is staggering.”

Father West said it is within DHH’s power to close Delta Clinic immediately.

“Under a 2010 law, DHH has the authority to close abortion facilities that violate state standards,” said Father West. “In fact, the publicity surrounding Delta Clinic in Baton Rouge is at least partially responsible for the closure of a New Orleans abortion facility. We demand that DHH immediately use its power to close Delta. Failing that, Priests for Life demands an independent congressional investigation of DHH.”

In the past, Delta owner Leroy Brinkley employed Gosnell one day a week. Eileen White O’Neil, who has been charged in the Gosnell case with pretending to be a licensed physician, also has worked for Brinkley.
“Women in Louisiana need to know the danger they are in once they step inside Delta Clinic,” Father West said. “DHH has the authority to shut it down today, and yet officials refuse to act. It’s time – it’s way past time – to find out why.”

Mahoney said: “The public needs to know the truth about abortion, the atrocities that have been committed by the abortion industry, and the government's complicity in the skewing of the number of abortions performed and the injuries and complications associated with these procedures. All records that were falsified to the DHH Vital Records Registry need to be corrected and the appropriate information needs to be reported for each patient. We believe that only a Congressional hearing and an Independent Council investigation on these false reporting practices will reveal the truth about these abominable practices.”

Priests for Life is the nation's largest Catholic pro-life organization dedicated to ending abortion and euthanasia.

Louisiana Senator: Gov Should Probe Abortion Ctr With Gosnell Ties

by Steven Ertelt | LifeNews.com | 2/2/11 1:18 PM

Louisiana Senator David Vitter has sent a letter to Governor Bobby Jindal and Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary Bruce Greenstein urging an investigation and appropriate action against the abortion facility that has connections with Kermit Gosnell.

Gosnell is the Philadelphia-based abortion practitioner who was charged with one count of murder in the death of a woman from a botched abortion and seven counts of murder related to infanticides that took place at his grisly abortion business that had numerous health and safety violations.

He is connected with the Delta Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and another abortion center in Delaware — where he does abortions one day a week.

“Recent news reports connecting the Delta Clinic to the allegations being charged against this horrific abortionist in Philadelphia could justify shutting down the Delta Clinic, and we must take the appropriate steps to prevent endangering the lives of Louisiana women and children,” Vitter told LifeNews.com in a statement.

Gosnell’s employees, including Eileen O’Neill, a former employee of the Delta Clinic in Baton Rouge, were also charged in connection with the deaths and also in obstructing the official investigations into them. O’Neill has been arrested for a number of violations that include theft by deception for pretending to be a licensed physician.

According to the grand jury, the incident in Pennsylvania was partly due to the failure of state and local officials to perform their duties properly, which is something that concerns Vitter.

The text of Vitter’s letter follows:

February 2, 2011

Secretary Bruce Greenstein
Department of Health & Hospitals
P.O. Box 629
Baton Rouge, LA 70821-0629

Dear Secretary Greenstein:

I am writing to seek your immediate and personal involvement in investigating and taking all appropriate enforcement action against the abortion facility known as the Delta Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Recent media reports indicate that this abortion clinic has a record of grievances and possible serious violations more than sufficient to warrant immediate action by the Department of Health & Hospitals.

In fact, these reports are so condemning that even the National Abortion Federation has suspended the Delta Clinic’s membership and will no longer refer women to the abortion center. However, the clinic is still open for business because only your department has the authority to shut it down. According to the DHH Office of Health Standards, there is not yet an open investigation into this matter. If it is true that the Delta Clinic is in violation of Louisiana or federal law, I urge you to immediately suspend the facility’s license to ensure the protection of women seeking their services.

As you may know, a Pennsylvania abortion practitioner and several of his employees were recently charged with murder and other crimes related to running a horrific abortion practice that endangered the lives of countless women and children. News accounts have revealed that one of those employees, Eileen O’Neill, is a former employee of the Delta Clinic. She has been arrested for a number of violations that include theft by deception for pretending to be a licensed physician.

According to the grand jury, the travesty in Pennsylvania was partly due to the failure of state and local officials to perform their duties properly. We must not allow this to happen in Louisiana, especially when the Louisiana Legislature has recently provided the necessary tools to prevent against a similar occurrence. I urge you to utilize the enforcement tools provided in Act 490, enacted last year, to the fullest extent possible. If there have been violations by the Delta Clinic that “pose an immediate threat to the health, welfare, or safety of a client or patient,” the Louisiana DHH should immediately order the clinic to close and cease providing abortions.

It is critical that we all take action to prevent dangerous and unsanitary medical conditions. That is why I have introduced the Pregnant Women Health and Safety Act, which would require that any physician that performs an abortion have admitting privileges at a local hospital, and that their patients have access to a nearby hospital where the patients can receive follow-up care in case complications do occur. This requirement offers a simple way to protect against the horrific practices that went unnoticed in Pennsylvania until many innocent human beings lost their lives.

Fortunately, our state has provided you with the means to take quick action against any abortion clinic engaged in unsafe practices. I urge you to vigorously investigate the alleged violations against the Delta Clinic to ensure that no woman’s life is endangered.

Sincerely,

David Vitter

cc: Governor Bobby Jindal
The Honorable Willie L. Mount, Chairman, Louisiana State Senate Health & Welfare Committee
The Honorable Kay Katz, Chairman, Louisiana House of Representatives Health & Welfare Committee

The abortion industry has been forced to suspend two abortion businesses that employed embattled abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell, who has been the subject of national controversy over his abortion business in Philadelphia.

Gosnell’s facility was the subject of a grand jury report for its horrifying conditions and Gosnell and several staffers have been arrested for killing a woman in a botched abortion and seven counts of murder related to the infanticide deaths of babies Gosnell would purposefully birth and kill with medical scissors.

Following revelations that Gosnell is associated with two other abortion centers in Louisiana and Delaware, the National Abortion Federation has made the decision to suspend the memberships of both. Atlantic Women’s Medical Services, the Delaware abortion business that employed Gosnell one day a week to do abortions, and the Delta Clinic abortion center of Baton Rouge, have both had their memberships suspended. Leroy Brinkley owns both abortion businesses. Atlantic operates abortion centers in Wilmington and Dover.

Delaware law does not require inspections of abortion centers but, late Thursday, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden said his office will launch a “wide-ranging” investigation of Gosnell and probe his work at the Delaware abortion facility given the vast problems at his Pennsylvania abortion center.

Gosnell has been charged with eight counts of murder and several of his staff at the abortion center, including his wife and sister-in-law, have been charged as well in the case with assisting in botched abortions, practicing medicine without a license or covering up the actions of those who did. The counts include grisly infanticidesthat involved Gosnell snipping the spines with scissors of babies who had purposefully been prematurely born so they could be killed moments later.

Mongar died November 20, 2009, after overdosing on anesthetics prescribed by the doctor, Williams said. Mongar’s family filed a lawsuit against Gosnell’s abortion business seeking damages.

“We want justice, this doctor has to be out of that clinic or he should not be treating anybody,” Damber Ghalley told CNN. “And the things that happen to my sister, I don’t want to happen to anybody in the future.”

He told CNN “the clinic was so dirty, filthy with blood stains and a dirty floor, everywhere dirty, I cannot describe how dirty it was.”

Gosnell has been denied bail while the case against him moves forward. Women have spoken out about their treatment and one woman says she was drugged and tied up and forced to have an abortion.

Authorities searching the facility last year found bags and bottles holding aborted babies scattered around the building, jars containing babies’ severed feet lining a shelf, as well as filthy, unsanitary furniture and equipment.

The grand jury investigation also shows state officials did nothing when reports came in about problems at Gosnell’s abortion center, which has upset incoming pro-life Governor Tom Corbett.

New allegations about Baton Rouge abortion clinic
Posted: Jan 20, 2011 6:30 PM CST Updated: Jan 25, 2011 6:50 AM CST
By David Spunt - email

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The abortion debate in Baton Rouge heats up after a national association of lawyers says it plans to sue over the controversial Delta Women's Clinic in Baton Rouge. Saturday will mark 38 years since the U.S. Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, a decision which made abortions legal.

Christopher Ferrara is the president of the American Catholic Lawyers Association, a group made up of hundreds of attorneys from across the country. He came to Baton Rouge to warn the Department of Health and Hospitals of a possible lawsuit if Delta is not shut down.

"There's more than enough to warrant an injunction against further operation at this clinic," he said.

Ferrara is referring to a 21-page internal DHH report from 2009, which alleges several violations on the part of Delta. He believes they are still going on.

The report completed by DHH includes "Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge Inc. acknowledges its governing board failed to ensure the clinic had a quality assurance program." It also alleges the clinic did not provide women individual counseling to protect their privacy and identity, and goes on to say the clinic did not document monitoring of patients receiving conscious sedation
regarding their cardiac status, respiratory status and level of consciousness during the medical procedure.

9 News did a series of stories about Delta Clinic in 1998 and the years following, at the time exposing unsanitary equipment and stories of long term health problems because of Delta. Governor Mike Foster stepped in, laws changed and years went on, but Ferrara says 2011 is not that much different from the way things were then.

Delta Women's Clinic officials did not respond to requests for comment. DHH released the following statement:

"We investigated every complaint we received about this abortion center. We cited deficiencies and, following the regulatory policies and laws in place at that time, we provided time for those deficiencies to be removed. We also levied monetary penalties, which Delta paid without appeal. We conducted two follow-up visits to ensure that the abortion center had corrected all items noted in its review and had not additional deficiencies. We have met with the people filing the initial complaints. We have not received additional complaints since March of 2010, and we have not received any requests for additional meetings from anyone on this topic."

Not the Only House of Horrors: Troubled Baton Rouge
Abortion Mill Has Disturbing Ties to Gosnell

Written by Operation Rescue
Posted January 25, 2011 at 11:02 am

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A troubled Louisiana abortion clinic has ties to accused murderer Kermit Gosnell, according to a Pennsylvania grand jury report.

The Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge is the former employer of Gosnell employee Eileen O’Neill, who was arrested last week along with Gosnell and charged with criminal violations that include Theft by Deception for pretending to be a licensed physician and charging fees as such, Racketeering, Corruption,
Perjury, and False Swearing. O’Neill was present during the abortion death of Karnamaya Mongar and, according to the grand jury report, lied to authorities in order to cover up the truth about Mongar’s death.

The American Catholic Lawyers Association was in Baton Rouge last week and threatened a lawsuit if the Delta Clinic is not shut down. (See news video below from 01/20/11.)
What does accused PA murderer Kermit Gosnell and a troubled Louisiana abortion clinic have in common? Eileen O’Neill who once worked for Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge. She was arrested with Gosnell and charged for theft, conspiracy, racketeering, perjury, and false writing. Conditions at the Delta Clinic mirror Gosnells "house of horrors."

Those attorneys indicate that an internal report made by the Department of Health and Hospitals lists numerous violations at the Delta Clinic that more that warrant closure. The DHH continues to make excuses for conditions at Delta, much the same way regulators in Pennsylvania turned a blind eye to complaints about Gosnell in what the grand jury there described as a “complete regulatory collapse.”

Delta has a long history going back at least to 1998 of violations and filthy conditions of a similar nature found at Gosnell’s “house of horrors” in Philadelphia. Two women, Ingar Weber and Shelia Hebert, are known to have died from botched abortions they received at Delta. Attorneys threatening to sue the DHH say that not much has changed at the clinic, and it still poses a danger to the public.

Delta was accused last year by the DHH of failing to ensure the clinic had a “quality assurance program.” The report indicated that the clinic did not provide women adequate protections for their privacy and did not monitor patients receiving sedation “regarding their cardiac status, respiratory status and level of consciousness during the medical procedure.”

“These violations are of the same kind that Gosnell stands accused. The grand jury was troubled by medical records laying about his clinic that could be accessed by anyone including other patients. It was a similar lack of monitoring of patients under sedation that contributed to the death of Karnamaya Mongar,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “There are disturbing similarities between the Delta Clinic and Gosnell’s operation.”

Aside from sharing a similar history of dangerous abortion practices, there are disturbing connections between Delta and Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society.

Gosnell co-defendant Eileen O’Neill worked for the Delta Clinic from 1998-roughly 2000, during the time when the clinic was exposed as a danger to the public. She told the Philadelphia grand jury that her work at the Delta Clinic was a “side job” while she was living in Texas and that she had relinquished a medical license she held in Louisiana due to what she called “post traumatic stress,” which speaks volumes about her time at Delta.

O’Neill was introduced to Gosnell by Delta’s owner, Leroy Brinkley, who also owns Atlantic Women’s Services in Wilmington, Delaware, where Gosnell worked one day per week. Like Gosnell, Brinkley also does business the Philadelphia area. Even though Gosnell was well aware that she had no license of any kind, Gosnell hired O’Neill in 2002, and allowed her to practice medicine without a license at his Philadelphia abortion mill. One can only wonder how much Brinkley knew of this criminal arrangement.

O’Neill was apparently accustomed to the substandard conditions she found with her new employer after her experience at Delta. She never thought to complain about the illegal and dangerous activity at either clinic, and in fact is charged with perjury for lying about details of Mongar’s death as well as her true role in Gosnell’s “criminal enterprise.”

The grand jury investigating Gosnell’s operation noted that at times, Gosnell would begin late-term abortions at the Atlantic Women’s Services in Wilmington and complete the abortions at his clinic in Philadelphia, a practice apparently tolerated by Brinkley. The report especially noted an incident with a teen-aged patient the grand jury simply called “Sue,” who appeared to Gosnell’s staff to be “seven or eight months pregnant.”
Gosnell collected his $2,500 fee and inserted laminaria into Sue while at Brinkley’s Wilmington, Delaware, abortion clinic, and instructed her to be at his Philadelphia clinic by 9:00 AM the next day. Interstate abortions such as this were also employed by discredited abortionist Steven Chase Brigham, prompting the State of Maryland to consider legislation to ban the dangerous practice.

After 13 painful hours in labor, Sue delivered “Baby Boy A,” an infant so large that Gosnell joked that he could walk Gosnell to the bus stop. Even though he was alive and moving, Gosnell “snipped” his spinal cord and tossed him into a shoe box, where he continued to move until he died. Experts estimated Baby Boy A was at least 32 weeks gestation, if not more.

Sue suffered complications that Gosnell dismissed. Eventually, after days of suffering and pain, Sue was rushed to a legitimate hospital where she was treated for life-threatening complications. She nearly died. After a week and a half in the hospital, Sue remained painfully thin and took months to recover from her ordeal.

The Atlantic Women’s Services in Wilmington where Gosnell began Sue’s illegal late-term abortion is a member of the National Abortion Federation (NAF), a group that claims to hold its member abortion clinics to high standards, yet time and again is found to harbor among the most dangerous clinics in the country. Brinkley’s other troubled abortion business, the Delta Clinic in Baton Rouge is also a proud NAF member.

The Pennsylvania grand jury was troubled that an NAF staff member did not report violations she witnessed at Gosnell’s Philadelphia abortion mill in 2009, and recommended that the NAF disassociate from the Atlantic Women’s Services due to their complicity in Gosnell’s illegal and dangerous bi-state late-term abortion practice for which they had evidence of at least six patients whose abortion were begun illegally there. As of this writing, the NAF has yet to comply.

“Out of one side of their mouths the NAF and even state agencies like the Louisiana DHH and the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine give lips service to women’s health, yet are as culpable as the abortionist themselves in propagating dangerous conditions at abortion mills by minimizing the severity of the violations and the impact they have on women’s health,” said Newman.

“Operation Rescue calls for the immediate closure of the Atlantic Women’s Services in Wilmington, Delaware, and the Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge in Louisiana. We support the American Catholic Lawyers Association’s intent to file a lawsuit to force the closure of Delta, and urge them to file it will all haste, in order to protect women, since the state apparently will not,” said Newman.

“We rebuke the National Abortion Federation for endangering the lives and health of women by passing off unsafe abortion ‘chop shops’ as legitimate medical facilities. Everyone needs to wake up and realize that covering up the abortionists’ dirty little secrets only creates an environment where sick and unscrupulous people like Gosnell, O’Neill, Brinkley, and others who prey on vulnerable women as a matter of course, can thrive. It is innocent babies and women like Karnamaya Mongar, Ingar Weber, and Shelia Hebert who pay for the deception with their lives, and for that, the NAF and other abortion organizations should be held legally responsible. Until the cover-ups cease, we can only expect the body count to rise.”

From Richard Mahoney, Founder AMERICAN  HOLOCAUST  MEMORIAL

March 9, 2011

These and other numerous violations have been reported to DHH. The DHH swore in 1998 that this would not happen again, and that these violations would not be tolerated in Louisiana.

For corrective action to be taken, the DHH needs to contact immediately the appropriate authorities to prosecute Leroy T. Brinkley, Kevin Work, Adrian Coleman, Mary Frances Gardner, and the Delta Clinic for gross negligence and medical malpractice. These include HIPPA, DEA, Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, and the Child Protection Agency. All records that were falsified to the DHH Vital Records Registry need to be corrected and the appropriate information needs to be reported for each patient. Then punitive fines ($500 per form) and/or jail time need to be imposed. All records for the last 30 years need to be corrected and the appropriate statistics be made known to the public. After these corrections have been made at the Delta Clinic, all other abortion clinics in the State of Louisiana need to submit and comply with the same corrective action. Most importantly, the information on complications experienced from abortion need to be rigorously investigated and the appropriate number and severity needs to be brought forth.

Those who have been injured by abortion and/or not been given proper counseling or medical treatment need to be able to find just compensation for the negligence and medical malpractice that has occurred in the abortion industry over the past 31 years. DHH needs to alert all the patients who were treated at Delta that they could have contracted an STD from improper sterilization at the clinic and also severe drug reactions by improper administration of drugs by the clinic staff. Kevin Work, Adrian Coleman, and Mary Frances Gardner dispensed narcotics and controlled substances resulting in injury to patients at Delta. Two lawsuits were filed from improper injection of phenergan with the resulting loss of limb. Immediate suspension of their licenses needs to be enacted until every patient record is satisfactorily completed stating what medications each patient received and any adverse reactions reported.

The Governor needs to be contacted on the severity of crimes committed at Delta and Leroy T. Brinkley's association with Dr. Gosnell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, so he can sign an emergency executive order that will precipitate immediate resolution to this statewide calamity.

The Philadelphia Horror: How mass murder gets a pass

By Michelle Malkin • January 21, 2011 12:00 AM

The “fetal material”-stuffed freezer at Philadelphia’s “Women’s Medical Society”

The mainstream news reports about Philadelphia’s serial baby-killer Kermit Gosnell and his abortion clinic death squad only scratch the surface of his barbaric enterprise. You must, must, must read the entire, graphic, 281-page grand jury report to fully fathom the systematic execution of hundreds of (not just seven) healthy, living, breathing, squirming, viable babies — along with an untold number of mothers who may have lost their lives in his sick, grimy chamber of horrors as well. It is explicit. It is enraging. It will haunt you.

Ask yourself why you are not hearing about which root causes and whose rhetoric are to blame for this four-decades-long massacre — just the tip of a blood-soaked iceberg defended by the predators of Planned Parenthood. You know the answer: If it doesn’t help the Left criminalize conservatism, it’s not worth discussing.

From the conclusion of the grand jury report: “It is not our job to say who should be fired or demoted. We believe, however, that anyone responsible for permitting Gosnell to operate as he did should face strong disciplinary action up to and including termination. This includes not only the people who failed to do the inspecting, the prosecuting, and the protecting, but also those at the top who obviously tolerated, or even encouraged, the inaction. The Department of State literally licensed Gosnell’s criminally dangerous behavior. DOH gave its stamp of approval to his facility. These agencies do not deserve the public’s trust. The fate of Karnamaya Mongar and countless babies with severed spinal cords is proof that people at those departments were not doing their jobs. Those charged with protecting the public must do better.”

Over to you, eugenics-inspired, eco-freak Obama science czar John Holdren…

The Philadelphia Horror: How mass murder gets a pass

by Michelle Malkin

Let’s give the “climate of hate” rhetoric a rest for a moment. It’s time to talk about the climate of death in which the abortion industry thrives unchecked. Dehumanizing rhetoric, rationalizing language, and a callous disregard for life have numbed America to its monstrous consequences. Consider the Philadelphia Horror.

In the City of Brotherly Love, hundreds of babies were murdered by a scissors-wielding monster over four decades. Whistleblowers informed public officials at all levels of the wanton killings of innocent life. But a parade of government health bureaucrats and advocates protecting the abortion racket looked the other way – until, that is, a Philadelphia grand jury finally exposed the infanticide factory run by abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell, M.D., and a crew of unlicensed, untrained butchers masquerading as noble providers of women’s “choice.” Prosecutors charged Gosnell and his death squad with multiple counts of murder, infanticide, conspiracy, abuse of corpse, theft, and other offenses.

The 281-page grand jury report released Wednesday provides a bone-chilling account of how Gosnell’s “Women’s Medical Society” systematically preyed on poor, minority pregnant women and their live, viable babies. The report’s introduction lays out the criminal enterprise that claimed the lives of untold numbers of babies — and mothers:

“This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.”

Echoing the same kind of dark euphemisms plied by Planned Parenthood propagandists who refer to unborn life as “fetal and uterine material,” Gosnell referred to his deadly trade as “ensuring fetal demise.” Reminiscent of the word wizards who refer to the skull-crushing partial-birth abortion procedure as “intact dilation and evacuation” and “intrauterine cranial decompression,” Gosnell described his destruction of babies’ spinal cords as “snipping.”

He rationalized his macabre habit of cutting off dead babies’ feet and saving them in rows and rows of specimen jars as “research.”

His guilt-ridden employees then took photos of some of the victims before dumping them in shoe-boxes, paper bags, one-gallon spring-water bottles, and glass jars.

They weren’t the only ones who adopted a see-no-evil stance:

*The Pennsylvania Department of Health knew of clinic violations dating back decades, but did nothing;

*The Pennsylvania Department of State was “repeatedly confronted with evidence about Gosnell” – including the clinic’s unclean, unsterile conditions, unlicensed workers, unsupervised sedation, underage abortion patients, and over-prescribing of pain pills with high resale value on the street – “and repeatedly chose to do nothing.”

*Philadelphia Department of Public Health officials who regularly visited Gosnell’s human waste-clogged offices did nothing;

*Nearby hospital officials who treated some of the pregnant mothers who suffered grave complications from Gosnell’s butchery did nothing; and

*The National Abortion Federation, the leading association of abortion providers that is supposed to uphold strict health and legal standards, determined that Gosnell’s chamber of horrors was “the worst abortion clinic she had ever inspected” – but did nothing.

Meanwhile, the death racketeers have launched a legislative and regulatory assault across the country on pro-life crisis pregnancy centers from New York City to Baltimore, Austin, and Seattle who offer abortion alternatives, counseling, and family services to mostly poor, vulnerable, minority women.

Already, left-wing journalists and activists have rushed to explain that these abortion atrocities ignored for four decades by abortion radicals and rationalizers are not really about abortion. A Time magazine writer argued that the Philadelphia Horror was “about poverty, not Roe V. Wade.” A University of Minnesota professor declared: “This is not about abortion.”

But the grand jury itself pointed out that loosened oversight of abortion clinics enacted under pro-choice former GOP governor Tom Ridge enabled Gosnell’s criminal enterprise – and led to the heartless execution of hundreds of babies. Mass murder got a pass in the name of expanding “access” and appeasing abortion lobbyists. As the report made clear: “With the change of administration from [pro-life Democrat] Governor Casey to Governor Ridge,” government health officials “concluded that inspections would be ‘putting a barrier up to women’ seeking abortions. Better to leave clinics to do as they pleased, even though, as Gosnell proved, that meant both women and babies would pay.”

Deadly indifference to protecting life isn’t tangential to the abortion industry’s existence – it’s at the core of it. The Philadelphia Horror is no anomaly. It’s the logical, blood-curdling consequence of an evil, eugenics-rooted enterprise wrapped in feminist clothing.

It[']s funny how framing works. A massacre perpetrated by a deranged man is not about the deranged man; it’s about “rhetoric.” But a massacre perpetrated by an abortion provider whose violations against laws of the nation and of humanity were overlooked for years is “not about abortion.” It’s about criminal behavior, and that’s all. But some of our most prominent politicians have voted against the very bill — the “born alive” bill — that defines such behavior as criminal. Meaning, I guess, that if only enough politicians had voted with Sen. Barack Obama, Gosnell’s behavior would not be “criminal” at all, and therefore we wouldn’t even be talking about it?

Well, the story of Kermit Gosnell is about abortion; it’s about abortion in America. And abortion in America is about a mindset, — even (or especially) among regulation-happy folk who will make a big noise about public safety on issues large and small — a mindset that will protect a Gosnell, and purposely turn a blind eye to abortion centers and practitioners and all of their lapses and illegalities, as long as the abortions keep on coming.

Philly DA: State agencies responsible for Gosnell’s atrocities

posted at 10:55 am on February 9, 2011 by Ed Morrissey

Had two state agencies in Pennsylvania bothered to do their jobs and investigate any of the complaints they received about Kermit Gosnell’s abbatoir of an abortion clinic over the years, Philadelphia district attorney Seth Williams told the state legislature, they could have saved hundreds of lives and the health of an uncountable number of women. Instead, they turned a blind eye to it all — and Williams told legislators that Gosnell’s preying on the poor had a lot to do with it:

Testifying before a Senate joint committee meeting, Williams laid out a case of a massive “system failure” by the Departments of State and Health which he said ignored years of complaints and allowed the abortion clinic run by a doctor now charged with murder to operate for unchecked for almost two decades.

Williams and his top deputies told a joint Senate hearing that had any state official followed up on a single piece of the voluminous amount of evidence suggesting wrongdoing, or set foot in the filthy clinic, it would have immediately been shut down. …

Responding to a question from Sen. Bob Mensch (R., Montgomery) about whether he thought culture played a role in the absence of enforcement, Williams nodded in agreement.

“It would not have gone on so long,” said Williams. “If the clinic had been located five miles away in Montgomery County, in the nice suburbs of Philadelphia, someone would have heeded the calls.

That isn’t the real cultural question, however. The reason why the state of Pennsylvania didn’t bother to inspect Gosnell’s clinic is because of the political pressure on agencies to protect the operation of abortion clinics. It’s politically incorrect to portray abortions as outpatient surgery, which is exactly what it is, and to apply the same standards on abortion clinics as any other outpatient surgery center. Abortion supporters want to portray the procedure as so routine and inconsequential that it doesn’t require oversight — and that leaves women at the mercy of predators like Gosnell. In Pennsylvania, abortion clinics aren’t required to register as outpatient surgical centers, and the state didn’t even bother to enforce the regulations that did apply to Gosnell’s clinic, even after women turned up in emergencies rooms and morgues after Gosnell’s treatments.

In another development, the same bureaucrats that acted with “total incompetence” have now begun to stonewall investigators:

Ann Ponterio, chief of the homicide unit in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, said state officials who appeared before the grand jury last year were “dismissive” of the allegations against Gosnell and are no longer cooperating in what she described as an ongoing investigation into the clinic’s operations.

She said outside attorneys have been hired to represent several officials with the Department of State and Health at a cost to taxpayers of $116,000 so far.

Sounds like an opportunity for Governor Tom Corbett to clean house at both agencies, starting with anyone who shrugged off a complaint about Gosnell or failed to follow up on a death or incident of malpractice.

Meanwhile, as the state pays for expensive private representation for those bureaucrats, a judge has refused Gosnell’s attempt to get the state to pay for his attorneys:

Rejecting the claim that he was “close to destitute,” a Philadelphia judge ordered abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell to get a lawyer by Wednesday and warned that the physician could face the death penalty on charges of killing a patient and seven newborn infants at his West Philadelphia clinic.

The stark warning from Common Pleas Court Judge Renee Cardwell Hughes at a hearing Friday did not appear to surprise Gosnell or dampen his amiable, courtly demeanor …

“You’re not eligible,” Hughes told Gosnell after Assistant District Attorneys Joanne Pescatore and Christine Wechsler said public records showed the Gosnells jointly or individually own a total of 17 properties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Texas, as well as a boat.

Gosnell appears completely unconcerned about his fate, or resigned to it. The judge scolded him for waving and saying hello to a local reporter during the hearing, telling Gosnell, “This is not a social event. You need to focus.”

Prosecutors will decide by March 2nd whether to seek the death penalty for Gosnell and his co-defendants.

Obama voted to protect abortionists like “house of horrors” Gosnell

by Deal Hudson
Mon Jan 24 11:19 AM EST

January 24, 2011 (InsideCatholic.com) - The story about President Obama’s support for infanticide as an Illinois state senator came immediately to mind last week when a Philadelphia abortionist was arrested on eight counts of murder.

One of the counts faced by Dr. Kermit Gosnell includes the death of a woman following an abortion at his office. The other seven were late-term babies, born alive, who were then killed by Dr. Gosnell with a pair of scissors he used to sever their spines.

As gruesome as this sounds, it’s precisely the kind of procedure that led to the passage of the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act,” passed by the U.S. Congress in 2002 and signed by President George W. Bush.

When the same bill came before the Illinois legislature in 2001 and 2002, it was opposed by then-state senator Barack Obama. In 2002, Obama even made a speech on the floor against the bill—the only senator to do so—arguing that the “pre-viable fetus” should not be considered a person or offered protection under the Equal Protection Clause.

That determination then, essentially, if it were accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it…. it would essentially bar abortions, because the Equal Protection Clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an anti-abortion statute.

In other words, in order to protect the right to abortion, we need to allow abortion doctors to finish their job on the child outside the womb with a pair of scissors, if necessary.

Michelle Malkin’s treatment of the “Philadelphia horror” reveals how much, and for how long, Dr. Gosnell’s use of his scissors was known. Using the 281-page grand jury report, Malkin summarizes:

Whistleblowers informed public officials at all levels of the wanton killings of innocent life. But a parade of government health bureaucrats and advocates protecting the abortion racket looked the other way—until, that is, a Philadelphia grand jury finally exposed the infanticide factory run by abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell, M.D., and a crew of unlicensed, untrained butchers masquerading as noble providers of women’s “choice.”

Echoing the logic of State Senator Obama, Dr. Gosnell referred to his use of scissors as “ensuring fetal demise.” In other words, what he called “snipping” the spine was his way of making sure the right to abortion was fully carried out, regardless of the determination (or good luck) of the child to avoid it.

Malkin adds that Gosnell “rationalized his macabre habit of cutting off dead babies’ feet and saving them in rows and rows of specimen jars as ‘research.’”

Among the agencies that knew about Gosnell’s habit of “snipping” and his mistreatment of patients were the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the Pennsylvania Department of State, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, nearby hospital officials, and the National Abortion Federation.

Obama’s support for infanticide was brought up repeatedly during the 2008 presidential campaign, all based on the original evidence as presented by former nurse and pro-life activist Jill Stanek. Obama’s defenders, including his Catholic supporters, ignored the infanticide issue.

As Matt Smith reminds us at the Catholic Advocate, during the 2008 campaign Obama repeated the Clinton mantra that “abortion should be safe, legal, and rare.” After signing his health-care legislation containing federal funding for abortion, it’s highly unlikely President Obama would be able to say that again with a straight face.

Smith also notes Obama’s annual message to Planned Parenthood on the occasion of the anniversary Roe v. Wade. On the same day that thousands of Catholics and other pro-lifers will walk through the streets of the nation’s capital as witnesses to life, the president reflects:

Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women’s health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters. I am committed to protecting this constitutional right.

In a Philadelphia jail today sits an abortion doctor who is facing murder charges for doing something President Obama thinks should be legal in order to protect the “abortion right.” In the 2008 campaign, Obama’s outspoken support for infanticide failed to inspire much outrage; but, perhaps, as the case of Dr. Gosnell makes its way through the courts, it will return as an unwanted theme in the president’s 2012 campaign.

Arrest of Abortionist Kermit Gosnell
Reveals House of Horrors Built by Roe

By Deacon Keith Fournier

1/24/2011

Catholic Online (www.catholic.org)

There are times when the truth concerning what actually happens in every procured abortion becomes obvious and the Nation is shaken out of its complacency. Perhaps the House of Horrors found in Philadelphia will be one of those moments. What was hidden is now being revealed. The truth is what "Doctor" Gosnell did is no different than what is done in every procured abortion. The only difference is that it is hidden from view.

WASHINGTON, DC (Catholic Online) - In only a matter of days thousands will gather in Washington, DC to mourn and march in response to the horrors unleashed by the US Supreme Court decisions in Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton thirty eight years ago. On January 22, 1973, the highest Court in the United States rejected the Right to Life revealed by the Natural Law and written on every heart, fashioning instead - out of a constructed "penumbra" - an alleged "right" for a woman to take the life of her child in the womb at any time during pregnancy for any reason. 52 million of our innocent neighbors have been killed as a result.

Wednesday, January 19, 2011, news reports were filled with stories concerning the events which occurred in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania involving one Dr. Kermit B. Gosnell. He has been criminally charged for the commission of eight murders. Seven children were killed by this man after they were born. This butcher executed them by utilizing a procedure he referred to as "snipping". He severed their spinal cord with surgical scissors which he inserted into the back of their necks. The eighth charge involved the death of one of the mothers from an apparent overdose of anesthetics administered during one of the executions.

Like millions, I was sickened by the reports. The gruesome details were recounted in numerous venues throughout the media. The most graphic report I heard was on CNN news. Brooke Baldwin interviewed the Prosecutor on the case, Seth Williams. The details of the evil actions of "Doctor" Kermit Gosnell and the blunt description offered by the Prosecutor in this interview became too much for Ms. Baldwin. At one point, she attempted to stop the prosecutor by mouthing an inane comment to the effect that all of this "is alleged". However, the Prosecutor persisted.

He told her that everything he recounted was a part of Grand Jury testimony and in evidence. He spoke of the "House of Horrors" they found at this Abortion facility where these dead children were kept in bottles of Formaldehyde. He told the correspondent that they found "severed feet" and "body parts" everywhere, including in the same refrigerator where staff kept their lunch. Finally, that the perpetrator/Doctor (executioner) was paid on a sliding scale depending on the age and size of the child. Finally, he bemoaned the fact that these abortion "clinics" are not regulated, noting that barber shops receive more governmental scrutiny.

All day, as one sordid account after another emerged, I kept thinking of the words of Jesus found in the Gospels, "For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible, and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light".(Luke 8:17) I thought back to October of 2010 when the remains of Seventeen babies in medical zip lock bags with the names of their mothers labeled on the outside were found in a dumpster at the Woman's Choice abortion mill in Lansing, Michigan. Under Michigan law abortion mills can place aborted babies and biohazardous waste in the trash as long as they're dipped in formaldehyde beforehand.

However, I reminded myself of what I know; the truth concerning the humanity of the child in the womb and their Right to be Life is winning the hearts and minds of more and more people. Medical Science is now a Pro-Life ally. Sonograms showing us a film of our first neighbors in their first home in the womb have become commonplace. We watch these children smile, play, feel pain and grow. The beautiful images are showing up on television commercials, being sent over our cell phones, blackberry devices and I-Pads; a sure sign in a consumerist culture that this technology is having an effect. Only a deceived person can fail to see that child in the womb is a human person, and our neighbor.

Physicians are now routinely operating "in utero" to help children in need and placing them back in the first home of the womb to be delivered full term. Psychologists encourage communication between parents and their child in the womb. Parents are playing music to children in the womb. The efforts to use dehumanizing phrases to hide the perfidy of abortion are failing. Medical science and technology confirm what our conscience told us all along, the child in the first home of the whole human race is our neighbor and it is wrong to kill innocent neighbors.

Yet, the crime of procured abortion is not only allowed but protected by the civil law, even though it is a violation of the preeminent Right to Life. Those who commit these heinous acts against our youngest neighbors are actually protected by the police power of the State.

The only difference is that it is hidden from view, at least from most of us. The same sonogram technology used for baby's first picture is also being used to guide the instruments of execution or the injection of the chemical weapons. The same deadly "snipping" using surgical scissors is being done within the womb. The same body parts found in the House of Horrors in Philadelphia are suctioned and scraped out of the wombs of women who have been lied to by evil organizations like Planned Parenthood who then try to make it all sound so "clinical".

The events in West Philadelphia call us to examine what we are becoming as Western civilization loses its soul. We are killing our children based upon the sole criteria of convenience and "wantedness". That is the effect of legal abortion on demand. Usually, the disposal of their little bodies is hidden from our eyes. We do not want to see what an abortion really looks like. When people show graphic images of the remains of a child killed by abortion, they are called "extremists". However, today, the veil was removed for all to see and the House of Horrors reveals our National shame.

FRC Washington Watch
Summary of Delta Clinic and DHH

Dear Tony Perkins & Lindsay Hoefer,

The investigation of Kermit Gosnell's 31 years of criminal violations led to a 281 page grand jury report denoting the massive failure of DHH and other state agencies to regulate abortion clinics and allow the most heinous crimes to go unchecked for decades. The same massive failure has occurred at the Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge for nearly 31 years. Delta Clinic owner Leroy T. Brinkley has direct ties to Kermit Gosnell in that Brinkley hired Gosnell to work one day a week at his clinic. Brinkley also sent patients to Gosnell after starting the abortion procedure in Delaware and then had them drive to Philadelphia for Gosnell to complete the abortion. Brinkley also had former Delta Clinic worker Eileen White O'Neill work for Gosnell in Philadelphia. O'Neill is being charged along with Gosnell for criminal violations that include theft by deception for pretending to be a licensed physician, and for racketeering.

Numerous violations have been reported during the past 23 years to the DHH, DEA, and other Federal, State and Local authorities by Delta employees and private citizens. Due to the injury of numerous women, an investigative report by WAFB was requested by Richard Mahoney. This report revealed extensive violations of the sanitary code and medical malpractice. It led to the suspension of Delta physicians James Whitmore III and Eileen White O'Neill's licenses, and the declaration of a public health and safety emergency (Executive Order MJF 99-5) by Louisiana Governor Mike Foster, which stated that, "The Delta Women's Clinic of Baton Rouge may be operating in such an unsanitary and medically deficient manner that the health and safety of the citizens of the State of Louisiana who are using the facility may be endangered." He ordered, under the police power of the State of Louisiana, a public health and safety emergency is declared to exist, and ordered the DHH to immediately go in and investigate the clinic. This news coverage series lasted nearly three years and led to the drafting of several new laws governing the abortion industry by the Louisiana Legislature. The DHH promised that this type of illegal activity would never be tolerated again.

Since then, it has become even worse. Affidavits from Delta employees revealed unbelievable negligence and injury to women who had abortions at the Delta Clinic. But even more startling was the fact that they admittedly made up the numbers of abortions performed and never reported any injuries that occurred at the Clinic. They even admitted that the forms were pre-printed, with pre-printed question responses checked off and completed prior to seeing any patients.

At Richard Mahoney's request, attorney Mike Johnson in 2009 contacted the DHH and demanded that an investigation be done on the unbridled criminal activity going on at the clinic for nearly a decade following their 1999 investigation. Evidence of Delta's criminal activity was supplied to the DHH by Richard Mahoney and given to the DHH as an exhibit to be used in the prosecution of Delta. As a result of this investigation (State ID: BO0004642; Complaint # 9AB28180) the DHH found deficient practices at the Clinic and submitted proceedings against Delta. This led to a small monetary fine and the continuation of the Clinic's operation. Attorneys Mike Johnson and Christopher Ferrara have stated that this is not a sufficient penalty or response by the DHH for such heinous crimes. Most notable among these crimes is the fact that Delta continued with their medical fraud for the last ten years by submitting the same pre-printed forms to the DHH Office of Vital Records with the same pre-printed question responses checked off and completed prior to seeing any patients. The rest of the crimes are so unbelievable that they cover a 41 page revised Statement of Deficiencies and Plan of Correction by the DHH Bureau of Health Services.

We demand that the Department of Health and Hospitals contact immediately HIPPA, DEA, LSBME, and the Baton Rouge Sex Crimes Lab and Child Protection Agency with their findings. All records that were falsified to the DHH Vital Records Registry need to be corrected and the appropriate information needs to be reported for each patient. Then, punitive fines and prison time need to be imposed. All records for the last 30 years need to be corrected and the appropriate statistics be made known to the public. After these corrections have been made at the Delta Clinic, all other abortion clinics in the State of Louisiana need to submit and comply with the same corrective actions. Most importantly, the information on complications experienced from abortion (infections, adverse drug reactions, uterine perforations, bleeding, STD's, loss of limbs, emergency hysterectomies, injuries and deaths) need to be rigorously investigated and the appropriate number and severity needs to be documented. Delta workers admitted using unsterile dilators and tubing on patients for years in the Clinic, which could have led to infecting tens of thousands of women going there with STD's.

This is not the only time that the Delta Clinic was prosecuted and closed. It was a long and painful delivery, but on May 12, 1994, the American Holocaust Memorial was born inside one of the most infamous abortion clinics in the United States. The former Delta Women's Clinic is now the site of a national memorial to the pre-born. Asst. Attorney General Tommy Watson prosecuted the clinic for dispensing narcotics illegally, then ordered a write of levy and a write of execution by the federal government due to the illegal handling and dispensing of controlled substances. Unable to pay its fine, the Delta Women's Clinic was put up for sale at federal auction. The St. Mary and St. Joseph Memorial Foundation purchased the Clinic and turned this chamber of death into a vessel of life.

Anyone can take a virtual tour of the Holocaust Memorial by clicking here.

The killing rooms are still kept as they were so the public can view first hand the instruments used for abortion. The blood of these innocent babies can still be seen on the walls and floors, and on the instruments of disposal. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke, 1790.

We would like to show the results of our 30 years of investigations on the abortion industry and the State's complicity with these crimes on Tony Perkins' show, Washington Watch, and on Fox News. We hope this will lead to a Congressional hearing and Independent Council investigation on the false reporting practices that are going on in every state in this country. The public needs to know the truth about this holocaust and the atrocities that have been committed by the abortion industry and the government's involvement in the skewing of the number of abortions performed and the injuries and complications associated with these procedures.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,

Richard Mahoney
