STUDENT OUTREACH
LSU STUDENTS FOR LIFE
|
It has been our privilege over the past 10 years to be contributors
and supporters of the LSU Students for Life. We have
worked on many projects together.
|
Our foundation has supplied the LSU Students for Life with the
4400 crosses that are erected on the parade grounds, across
from the student union, each year on the infamous anniversary
of Roe vs. Wade. We have assisted the students in erecting 2
pro-life billboards and supplied baby clothes, diapers and
presents for their baby showers. Our foundation also assists
the students with pro-life pamphlets, books, videos and tapes
for their pro-life tables.
|
We give tribute to the outstanding leadership exemplified by
the current and former presidents of LSU Students for Life.
These are Floyd Gonzalez, Amy Guidry, Juliane Zebley, John
Treul, Maria Mahoney, Greg Stanek and Eddie Herty.
|
John Treul, former president of LSU Students for Life, mans a
pro-life table. During John's tenure he sponsored many pro-life
speakers at LSU including Bishop Hughes of Baton Rouge.
|
Juliane Zebley explains to her fellow LSU Students that one-third
of their generation is missing. It has been extinguished by
abortion. Generation X has been the first generation in
American history that has been deemed expendable. No one
in their era, those born after 1972, have had protection under
the law. Those inalienable rights of life, liberty and pursuit of
happiness have been denied to this generation. The "sanctity
of life" ethic was replaced by the "quality of life" ethic. Those
children of God who were deemed burdensome
were murdered by abortion.
|
Richard Mahoney is seen here talking to LSU student,
Josh Bryard, about the horrors of this holocaust.
|
While president of LSU Students for Life, Maria Mahoney
led weekly Pro-Life Rosary processions, pro-life
exhibits and tables on the LSU campus. She organized
and sponsored baby showers for the pregnant mothers on campus.
She brought in speakers, organized rallies and erected the 4,400
crosses on the LSU parade ground for the week of January 22
|
A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing in loud lamentation;
Rachel bewailing her children, she could not be consoled,
for they were no more".
