Our Lady of Guadalupe

Patroness of the unborn

Knights For Life

TO HELP STOP THE ANTI-LIFE PUSH IN THE U.S. THE LATE ARCHBISHOP FULTON J. SHEEN ENCOURAGED THE SPIRITUAL ADOPTION OF AN UNBORN CHILD. THIS IS DONE BY PRAYING THAT ONE PARTICULAR BUT UNKNOWN CHILD'S LIFE BE SPARED ABORTION AND BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO LIVE. TO HELP ACCOMPLISH THIS, IT WAS RECOMMENDED, AN INDIVIDUAL SAY THE FOLLOWING DAILY PRAYER FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.

"Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

DURING YOUR EARTHLY LIFE THIS SPIRITUALLY ADOPTED CHILD OF YOURS WILL BE KNOWN ONLY TO GOD BUT IN THE WORLD TO COME IT IS HOPED THAT YOU WILL MEET THE CHILD WHOSE LIFE WAS SPARED BY YOUR PRAYERS AND SPEND ETERNAL HAPPINESS WITH THEM.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Patroness of the Unborn

To help stop the anti-life push in the U.S. we are encouraging the spiritual adoption of an unborn child. This is done by praying that one particular but unknown child's life be spared abortion and be allowed to continue to and after birth.

To help accomplish this, it was recommended, an individual say the following daily prayer for a period of one year.

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

During your earthly life this spiritually adopted child of yours will be known only to God, but in the world to come and throughout eternity both you and the child will find happiness in each other's company.

Words of Our Lady of Guadalupe

"Listen, my son, to what I tell you now: Do not be troubled nor disturbed by anything; do not fear illness nor any other distressing occurrence, nor pain. Am I not your mother? Am I not life and health? Have I not placed you on my lap and made you my responsibility? Do you need anything else."

“Could you not watch with me for one hour?” (Mt 26:40).

“Know for certain that I am the perfect and perpetual Virgin Mary, Mother of the True God. ...Here I will show and offer all my love, my compassion, my help and my protection to the people. I am your merciful Mother, the Mother of all those who love me, of those who cry to me, of those who have confidence in me. Here I will hear their weeping and their sorrows and will remedy and alleviate their suffering, necessities and misfortunes. ...Listen and let it penetrate into your heart. ...Do not be troubled or weighed down with grief. Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else that you need?” Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Story of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared in Mexico as the pregnant
Mother of God to the Indian Saint Juan Diego on
December 9, 10 and 12, 1531. She left a Miraculous Image
of her appearance on his cactus fiber cloak (tilma), which still
exists today for all to see in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe
in Mexico City.

Our Lady came to offer faith, hope and consolation to the oppressed
natives of Mexico and to reconcile them with their Spanish rulers.
She put an end to the bloody human sacrifice of the Aztec Indians
and converted them to the Catholic faith.

The Aztecs practiced human sacrifice as an offering to their false gods. Hernando Cortes and the Spanish conquered and evangelized them.

After the conquest, the Spanish rule of the natives was so severe that a bloody revolt was imminent. Bishop Zumarraga prayed for Our Lady to intervene to prevent an uprising, to reconcile the Spanish and the natives and to bring peace.

On December 9, 1531, Our Lady appeared to Saint Juan Diego who was a recent Catholic convert. She asked him to go to the Bishop and request him to build a church for her on the barren hill of Tepeyac which is now part of Mexico City. Our Lady wanted to manifest her Son and show her merciful love to all of her children. The prudent Bishop asked Juan to ask the Lady for a sign. Juan did so and Our Lady promised to give him the sign.

On December 12, Our Lady again appeared to Juan on Tepeyac Hill and told him to pick the Castilian roses that miraculously appeared there and bring them to the Bishop as the sign for him to believe her request. Juan gathered the roses into his tilma and brought them to the Bishop.

He opened the tilma to show them and, to everyone’s astonishment, the Image of Our Lady appeared on it. The Bishop then built the church as Our Lady had requested and nine million natives were converted and baptized to the one, true faith within the next nine years. Human sacrifice ended in Mexico forever. Our Lady of Guadalupe brought the light of the true faith and established an era of peace.

It has been scientifically established that the Miraculous Image is not a painting. There is no undersizing or pigment in the tilma. It should have rotted after twenty years but it has not decayed after 460 years. In 1921 the tilma survived unscathed from a bomb blast set off directly underneath it by Mexican anti-Catholics.

A digital enhancement of the eyes of the Image show the faces of Juan Diego and Bishop Zumarraga miraculously reflected in the eyes of Our Lady! The distortion and place of the optical reflection in the eyes of Our Lady were identical with what is produced in a human eye. Five eye doctors who examined Our Lady’s eye said that they looked into a human eye.

Pope Pius XII said that the Miraculous Image was left by “brushes which were not of this earth” and “we are certain that as long as Our Lady of Guadalupe is recognized as their Queen and Mother, America and Mexico are safe.”

Pope John Paul II named Our Lady of Guadalupe as Queen and Mother of America, consecrated the Continent to her and established December 12 as her Feast Day throughout America. He prayed at her Basilica, “Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of Peace, save the nations and peoples of this Continent!”

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Visitations

The Missionary Images are actual size (4’ X 6’) replicas of the original Miraculous Image of Our Lady which she left on Saint Juan Diego’s cloak (tilma). They were blessed at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico by the Rector of the Basilica to bring conversions, reverence for life, sanctity of the family and solidarity of the Church in America. They have journeyed on Visitations in the New Evangelization throughout the world. The Images have visited each state of the United States in over one thousand parishes and have received the veneration of hundreds of thousands. There have been hundreds of Masses, Confessions, hours of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosaries in the presence of the Images. Many signs, wonders, conversions, healings, reconciliation's and graces have been reported.

The Guardian of the Missionary Images is Dan Lynch of St. Albans, Vermont. Mr. Lynch is the Director of a nonprofit tax-exempt apostolate that coordinates the Journey of the Images. He is a retired Judge of the State of Vermont, an author, public speaker and audio and video producer.

The original Missionary Image began its Visitations in June of 1991 from the International Rosary Congress at the National Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. Since then it journeyed throughout America and the world and visited over 1,000 parishes in every state of the U.S.A., The Caribbean Islands, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, England, Europe, Russia, China, the Philippine Islands, Japan, Israel, Australia and New Zealand.

Hundreds of thousands have venerated the Missionary Images. There have been thousands of Masses, Confessions, hours of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament and Rosaries said in the presence of the Images. Our Lady’s Image has let the largest pro-life Rosary processions ever seen in various cities including Dublin (Ireland), Port of Spain (Trinidad), Melbourne (Australia) and Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania). Many abortions are averted and at least twenty abortion centers closed through Our Lady of Guadalupe’s intercession. Many conversions, healings, reconciliations and graces have also been reported.

One priest who hosted a Visitation of the Image, reported, “Our Lady melted hearts everywhere she went! In her travels near Dayton, Ohio, Our Lady visited five abortion centers, and two grade schools totaling over 1,000 students, 13 parishes, a university chapel, a renewal center and a women’s prison. Almost everyone who venerated the Image was touched in one way or another. Some were given an inner strength to deal with their problems and adversities, others receive confirmation of their prayer petitions, many were led to Confession and Communion or to Eucharistic adoration and some were miraculously healed. Thousands of brochures, Rosaries, holy cards and medals of Our Lady of Guadalupe were passed out wherever the Image went.”

A Visitation to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas attracted an estimated 34,000 Valley residents with their prayers, their hopes, their fears and their dreams before the Missionary Image during a nine-day pilgrimage for life with Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “What a marvelous pilgrimage it was!”, said Fr. Pavone. “It was like a powerful retreat for me, and I was inspired by the faith of the people and the jubilation and beauty that marked the celebrations.” The Image visited 25 churches and an abortion center where the precious life of an unborn baby was saved. Local Guardian, Sr. Nancy Boushey, O.S.B., acknowledged that the child’s life was saved through “the intercession of Mary and the prayerful presence of those who accompanied the Image and counseled the mother not to destroy the human life she was carrying.”

The residents responded with love and some with tears of joy as they gazed upon and touched or kissed the Image. People came from across the Valley to participate at Mass, to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, sing hymns to our Blessed Mother, pray the Rosary and pray for their families, for life and for peace.

Pope John Paul II proclaimed Our Lady of Guadalupe as the Mother of all America. “Now is the time”, he said, “of the new evangelization to lead the People of God in America to cross the threshold of the third millennium with renewed hope.” He entrusted to her, as the Star of the New Evangelization, the “future path of the Church on the great continent of America.”

He looked at an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and said, “Our Lady is brilliantly seen in the mestizo countenance of this Image of Mary of Guadalupe who appeared at the beginning of the evangelization of the Americas.

“Now Our Lady accompanies each one of her daughters and sons with her motherly presence. I ask her to ‘visit’ as a ‘pilgrim of faith’ – each and every diocese, parish and family in America, repeating to her children what she said at Cana, ‘Do whatever He tells you’ (Jn 2:5). May she cross this continent bringing it ‘life, sweetness and hope’! May she enliven and protect work of the New Evangelization, so that Christians may live their faith with consistency and fervor, and that those who have abandoned it may return. May she promote the unity of the Church, reuniting as in a new Pentecost those who believe in Jesus Christ and those who need to be renewed by the Spirit.”

An Hour of Prayer for Peace with Our Lady of Guadalupe

Introduction

Entrance Procession with Cross, Image and American Flag

Hymn Let There Be Peace on Earth (stand)

Opening Prayer by Celebrant or Leader:

Pope John Paul II appealed for prayers "above all at this time" to implore God for "the gift of peace." He also entrusted "the victims of these hours of war and their suffering relatives" to the intercession of the Virgin Mary. "I feel spiritually close to them with affection and prayer," he said.

"When war, as in these days in Iraq, threatens the fate of humanity, it is even more urgent to proclaim with a determined voice, that peace alone is the way to construct a more just and solidaristic society. Violence and arms can never resolve the problems of men," the Pope said.

Let us join him in prayer for the gift of reconciliation and peace through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Queen and Mother of America who brought reconciliation and peace between the Spaniards and the Indians in sixteenth century Mexico.

God of power and mercy,
you blessed the Americas at Tepeyac
with the presence of the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe.
May her prayers help all men and women
to accept each other as brothers and sisters.
Through your justice present in our hearts
may your peace reign in the world.
O Lady of Guadalupe, pray for the Church in America
and walk with us in the third millennium of faith.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.
All: Amen.

Part One: The Holy Rosary
(sit)

Celebrant or Leader: The Pope has enhanced the power of the Rosary and asked us to pray it for peace. I will now read excerpts form his Apostolic Letter entitled On the Most Holy Rosary.

“To recite the Rosary is nothing other than to contemplate with Mary the face of Christ. A number of historical circumstances make a revival of the Rosary quite timely. First of all, the need to implore from God the gift of peace. At the start of a millennium which began with the terrifying attacks of September 11, 2001, a millennium which witnesses every day in numerous parts of the world fresh scenes of bloodshed and violence, to rediscover the Rosary means to immerse oneself in contemplation of the mystery of Christ who "is our peace", since he made "the two of us one, and broke down the dividing wall of hostility". (Eph 2:14).

Never as in the Rosary do the life of Jesus and that of Mary appear so deeply joined. Mary lives only in Christ and for Christ! In proposing to the Christian community five significant moments – "luminous" mysteries – during the phase of Christ’s public ministry, I think that the following can be fittingly singled out: (1) his Baptism in the Jordan, (2) his self-manifestation at the wedding of Cana, (3) his proclamation of the Kingdom of God, with his call to conversion, (4) his Transfiguration, and finally, (5) his institution of the Eucharist, as the sacramental expression of the Paschal Mystery.

"At the same time, it becomes natural to bring to this encounter with the sacred humanity of the Redeemer all the problems, anxieties, labors and endeavors that go to make up our lives. "Cast your burdens on the Lord and he will sustain you" (Ps 55:23). To pray the Rosary is to hand over our burdens to the merciful hearts of Christ and his Mother. The Rosary helps us to be conformed ever more closely to Christ until we attain true holiness.

“The grave challenges confronting the world at the start of this new Millennium lead us to think that only an intervention from on high, capable of guiding the hearts of those living in situations of conflict and those governing the destinies of nations, can give reason to hope for a brighter future.

“The Rosary is by its nature a prayer for peace, since it consists in the contemplation of Christ, the Prince of Peace, the one who is "our peace". his death, and then to his Resurrection and his glory?

“Today I willingly entrust to the power of this prayer – as I mentioned at the beginning – the cause of peace in the world and the cause of the family. Confidently take up the Rosary once again. Rediscover the Rosary in the light of Scripture, in harmony with the Liturgy, and in the context of your daily lives.

“May this appeal of mine not go unheard!”

Celebrant or Leader: We will now pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary for Peace. We will pray for the end of war, for the safety of those in the armed services, for all men and women to accept each other as brothers and sisters and that through justice Christ’s peace may reign in the world.

Let us pray together the Apostles’ Creed. I believe in God . . . etc.
(sit or kneel)

Celebrant or Leader: We pray for the protection of the Holy Father and our unity with him and the bishops in union with him in one faith, one hope and one love.
Our Father, 3 Hail Marys, Glory Be.

Celebrant or Leader: The first Luminous mystery, Christ is Baptized in the Jordan.
When Jesus is baptized, the Father's voice is heard: "This is my beloved Son." All of us are called to new life as adopted sons and daughters of God through baptism. We pray that the dignity of all men and women is recognized as children of God.

Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory be, O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Celebrant or Leader: The second Luminous mystery, Christ is made known at the Wedding of Cana.
Jesus revealed His glory by the miracle at Cana when He changed the water into wine through the intercession of Mary, his mother. Let us pray that through her intercession violence and war may be changed to peace.

Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory be, O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Celebrant or Leader: The third Luminous mystery, Christ proclaims the Kingdom and Calls All to Conversion.
"Repent and believe the Good News." Let us pray that these first words of Jesus' public ministry may be heard by all of those who foster violence and war. May they know that the Lord calls them to conversion, and may they experience life-giving repentance and forgiveness.

Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory be, O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy

Hymn Immaculate Mary (stand)

(sit or kneel)
Celebrant or Leader: The fourth Luminous mystery, The Transfiguration.

Christ is transfigured on the mountain, and the disciples see His glory. May the eyes of all people be transformed, that they may see each and every human life as dignified with the reflection of the glory of God Himself.

Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory be, O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Celebrant or Leader: The fifth Luminous mystery, Jesus gives us the Eucharist.
Jesus said, "This is My Body, given up for you." The Eucharist teaches us how to live and how to love. Let us pray for the realization of Pope John Paul II’s call for a culture of life and a civilization of love.

Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, Glory be, O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Celebrant or Leader and All: Hail Holy Queen, . . .etc.

Celebrant or Leader: We will now pray together for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.

Part Two: Liturgy of the Word (sit)

Reader: A reading from the Book of Leviticus.

If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall last to the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last to the time for sowing; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely. And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will remove evil beasts from the land, and the sword shall not go through your land. (Leviticus 26:3-6).

The Word of the Lord.

Celebrant or Leader: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke

All: Glory to you, Lord.

Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Mt 5:1-9).

Act of Consecration

Celebrant or Leader: The Holy Father prayed at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, “This is our cry: life with dignity for all! The time has come to banish once and for all from the Continent every attack against life. Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of Peace, save the nations and peoples of this Continent!” Let us pray together the Act of Consecration that he made to her.

All: O Immaculate Virgin, Mother of the true God and Mother of the Church!, who from this place reveal your clemency and your pity to all those who ask for your protection, hear the prayer that we address to you with filial trust, and present it to your Son Jesus, our sole Redeemer.

Mother of Mercy, Teacher of hidden and silent sacrifice, to you, who come to meet us sinners, we dedicate on this day all our being and all our love.

We also dedicate to you our life, our work, our joys, our infirmities and our sorrows.

Grant peace, justice and prosperity to our peoples; for we entrust to your care all that we have and all that we are, Our Lady and Mother.

We wish to be entirely yours and to walk with you along the way of complete faithfulness to Jesus Christ in His Church.

Hold us always with your loving hand.

Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, we pray to you for all the bishops, that they may lead the faithful along paths of intense Christian life, of love and humble service of God and souls.

Contemplate this immense harvest, and intercede with the Lord that He may instill a hunger for holiness in the whole People of God, and grant abundant vocations of priests and religious, strong in the faith and zealous dispensers of God’s mysteries.

Grant to our homes the grace of loving and respecting life in its beginnings, with the same love with which you conceived in your womb the life of the Son of God.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair Love, protect our families, so that they may always be united, and bless the upbringing of our children.

Our hope, look upon us with compassion, teach us to go continually to Jesus and, if we fall, help us to rise again, to return to Him, by means of the confession of our faults and sins in the Sacrament of Penance, which gives peace to the soul.

We beg you to grant us a great love for all the holy Sacraments, which are, as it were, the signs that your Son left us on earth.

Thus, Most Holy Mother, with the peace of God in our conscience, with our hearts free from evil and hatred, we will be able to bring to all true joy and true peace, which come to us from your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who with God the Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for Peace by Pope John Paul ll
O God, Creator of the universe, who extends your paternal concern over every creature and guides the events of history to goals of salvations, we acknowledge your fatherly love when you break the resistance of mankind and, in a world torn by strife and discord, you make us ready for reconciliation. Renew for us the wonders of your MERCY; send forth your Spirit that He may work in the intimacy of hearts, that enemies may begins to dialogue, that adversaries may shake hands and peoples may encounter one another in harmony. May all commit themselves to the sincere search for true peace which will extinguish all arguments, for charity which overcomes hatred, for pardon which disarms revenge.

Pope John Paul II’s Prayer for Life to Mary Bright Dawn of the New World

Celebrant or Leader: This prayer can be prayed to Our Lady Guadalupe, since the Holy Father referred to Our Lady in the prayer as the “Bright Dawn of the New World”. This was the role of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Let us pray together to her under this title.

All:

O Mary
bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living,
to you do we entrust the cause of life:
Look down, O Mother,
upon the vast numbers
of babies not allowed to be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women
who are victims of brutal violence,
of the elderly and the sick killed
by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son
may proclaim the Gospel of Life
with honesty and love
to the people of our time.
Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel
as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude
throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build,
together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love,
to the praise and glory of God,
the Creator and lover of life.
(The Gospel of Life, Pope John Paul II. )

Pope John Paul II’s Prayer to St. Juan Diego

Celebrant or Leader: Pope John Paul II said, “Beloved bothers and sisters of every ethnic background of Mexico and America, today, in praising the Indian Juan Diego, I want to express to all of you the closeness of the Church and the Pope, embracing you with love and encouraging you to overcome with hope the difficult times you are going through.” Let us pray together the Pope’s prayer to St. Juan Diego.

All: Blessed Juan Diego, a good, Christian Indian, whom simple people have always considered a saint! We ask you to accompany the Church on her pilgrimage so that she may be more evangelizing and more missionary each day. Encourage the Bishops, support the priests, inspire new and holy vocations, help all those who give their lives to the cause of Christ and the spread of his Kingdom.

Happy Juan Diego, true and faithful man! We entrust to you our lay brothers and sisters so that, feeling the call to holiness, they may imbue every area of social life with the spirit of the Gospel. Bless families, strengthen spouses in their marriage, sustain the efforts of parents to give their children a Christian upbringing. Look with favor upon the pain of those who are suffering in body or in spirit, on those afflicted by poverty, loneliness, marginalization, or ignorance. May all people, civic leaders and ordinary citizens, always act in accordance with the demands of justice and with respect for the dignity of each person, so that in this way peace may be reinforced.

Beloved Juan Diego, "the talking eagle"! Show us the way that leads to the "Dark Virgin" of Tepeyac, that she may receive us in the depths of her heart, for she is the loving, compassionate Mother who guides us to the true God. Amen.

(Pope John Paul II’s prayer during his homily for the canonization Mass of Saint Juan Diego in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico City. July 31, 2002.)

OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE STOPS ABORTIONS!
MISSIONARY IMAGE VISITATIONS SAVE AND HEAL LIVES!

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is an exact photographic replica of the original Miraculous Image of Our Lady, which she left on Blessed Juan Diego's Tilma on December 12, 1531 in Mexico City. It is a gift from the Catholic people of Mexico to the Catholic people of the United States through the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In 1991 it was named a "Missionary Image" and blessed as such by the late Cardinal Posadas of Mexico on behalf of all the Mexican Bishops and by representatives of the Basilica. They said that Our Lady's Mission was to end abortion and convert millions and supported her mission with their prayers.

The Guardian of the Missionary Image is Daniel J. Lynch of St. Albans, Vermont. Mr. Lynch is the President of a non-profit organization which coordinates the Journey of the Image. Mr. Lynch is a judge, retired lawyer, author and public speaker.

He sends the Image to local Guardian Teams who have requested Visitations. They prepare the reception and coordinate all liturgical events with the local pastors and the Bishops. The Visitations often include churches, abortuaries, monasteries, convents, prisons, hospitals, nursing homes and schools.

The Journey Visitations

The Missionary Image has journeyed since June of 1991 from the International Rosary Congress at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception throughout America and the world. The Image has visited over 1000 parishes in every state in America, the Caribbean Islands, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, England, Europe, Russia, China, the Philippine Islands, Japan and Israel. The Image has received the veneration of hundreds of thousands. There have been thousands of Masses, Confessions, hours of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosaries in the presence of the Image.

The Image has led the largest pro-life Rosary processions ever in various cities including Dublin, Ireland; Port of Spain, Trinidad; Melbourne, Australia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Many abortions have been prevented and at least twenty abortuaries have been closed through Our Lady's intercession by her Missionary Image. Irish clergy credit her intercession for voting down a proposed Constitutional amendment to "legalize" abortion in Ireland. Many conversions, healings, reconciliations and graces have been reported.

Visitations Save Lives

Through her Missionary Image, Our Lady has melted the hearts of many women who planned to have their babies killed by abortion.

Cathy, a professional journalist, interviewed Dan Lynch at a Marian Conference. She asked him, "How will Mary end abortion?" He replied, "She will melt hearts and the melted heart of a mother would never consider killing her innocent helpless child, she will reverence the life within her and bring it to birth!"

At this point Cathy broke down crying and told him, "I had an abortion ten years ago. You are the first person in the world that I have told. I named my son Joshua and have asked him to forgive me."

Mr. Lynch quickly arranged for her to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist that day for the first time since her abortion. They both felt great joy for her response to Our Lady's call to come back to the Sacred Heart of her Son and His Holy Church. She now evangelizes youth to be chaste and to revere life.

Cathy later became pregnant again. She was told by her doctor that her placenta was damaged and that she would probably have a miscarriage. She called the Missionary Image apostolate and asked for prayers to Our Lady of Guadalupe. When Cathy returned to her doctor, a sonogram showed a healthy placenta! She later gave birth to a healthy son, Alexander.

Our Lady of Guadalupe also saved another mother who had four abortions! She said, "I now consecrate myself daily to the holy Virgin Mother of Guadalupe and I ask her to make me an instrument to end abortion through melting hearts. I believe that Our Lady of Guadalupe will heal all those who have been wounded by the grave sin of abortion and that she is the shield that will protect the unborn children and their mothers."

The Seven Pillars of Truth for Healing from
Post Abortion Traumatic Stress Syndrome

"I would now like to say a special word to women who have had an abortion. The Church is aware of the many factors which may have influenced your decision. Certainly what happened was and remains terribly wrong. But do not give in to discouragement and do not lose hope. The Father of mercies is ready to give you His forgiveness and His peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation."  Pope John Paul II, The Gospel of Life

God said, "Thou shalt not kill." Fifth Commandment. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!" Jn 8:32

The truth is that your abortion was a sin.

You disobeyed God and killed your unborn child.

But, God loves you! He is merciful and wants to forgive you, free you and grant you peace. Your child prays for you and also wants this for you.

You must confess to God (preferably through a priest, minister, rabbi or friend) that you sinned, say that you are sorry and ask forgiveness from God and promise with His help never do it again.

Likewise, you must do the same to your dead child. You should give him or her a name, tell him or her that you are sorry for being responsible for the death, ask forgiveness, and pray that the child's soul is saved and living with God in everlasting life.

Accept and believe in the forgiveness of God and your child, your reconciliation with them and your healing. Now forgive yourself. The truth has set you free!

Day of the Unborn Child

This international program is held annually on March 25th, the
feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. Focusing on the pro-life
meaning of the Annunciation, Councils hold pro-life prayer
services. In 2003, the Supreme Council sponsored a Holy
Hour in St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut, that
was broadcast live by the Eternal Word Television Network
(EWTN).

Communiqué'

To: State family, District Deputies, Area Coordinators,
Grand Knights, and Council Pro-Life chairman/couples.

Grand Knights, please give this your immediate attention.

Knights For Life is requesting every Council in the Louisiana jurisdiction to offer a donation for a Special Mass to be said for the intention of the end of abortion in America.
Please make the request for the nearest date to the 25th that is an agreeable  time for the Pastor and for the Council. The Supreme Council has requested that all families observe this day, and that it be dedicated as Day of the Unborn Child.

Please send a copy of your church bulletin with the announcement of Mass offering to Knights For Life PO Box 832 Abita Springs, LA 70420. We will forward them to Supreme Knight Carl Anderson. In 2004 we were very happy to receive a personal letter from Supreme Knight Anderson, congratulating the Louisiana jurisdiction "for a job very well done...."  "in promoting the Day of the Unborn Child throughout Louisiana." See letter below.
This year the Louisiana jurisdiction will do even better.

Please try to book the Mass as soon as possible and let your Pastor know that this will be an annual event.  The average offering for a Mass is $15 to $25, which should not create any hardship for a Council.

Below is a suggestion for your church bulletin, for the week prior to the Mass, and linage for the intention on the week of the Mass.  Encourage all KC's and families to attend the Mass and Rosary.  We can set an example and start a new tradition for building and promoting the Culture of Life.

Friday, March 25th is the feast of the Annunciation.  Carl A. Anderson, Supreme Knight has called all Knights and their families to observe this feast day, and that it be dedicated as Day of the unborn.  In observance of this directive, Council________ has made an offering for a Mass to be said on _______ for the intention of ending abortion in America. Knights for Life - Spiritual Works for Life

On January 1, 2004 Knights for Life began three new Spiritual initiatives in the war against the Culture of death. All Knights and their families are urged to participate.

1. Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Crusade for Life. See Pro-Life Rosary.
2. Prayer Vigils in front of abortion mills
3. Having Special Masses offered for the end to the holocaust of abortion

The Mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Crusade for Life is to respond to our Holy Father's exhortation to stop the "Culture of Death". Our objective is to have the rosary said 24 hours a day throughout the year until the end of the abortion holocaust. With 34,000 Knight's families in Louisiana this is very doable. On our Knights for Life web site  we will have a Rosary and Prayer Wall for Life, which will have a chart of the hours of the day with the names of the committed prayer warriors. For those who will commit to specific hours and days, please e-mail us at ProLifeChair@yahoo.com. Give us your name and Council and the days and times you have committed.

Praying in front of abortion mills is the work of very special spiritual warriors. It has been done since the earliest days of the abortion holocaust.  Sadly the numbers who participate in recent years has dwindled significantly. There are leaders who stand for life regularly, who will gladly welcome anyone who wants to join in peaceful witness against the sacrifice of the holy innocents. E-mail us if you want to be put in touch with these heroic leaders for life.

Our third imitative is the most powerful and important. Having Special Masses offered for the end to the holocaust of abortion is easy and anyone can do it. Simply visit the parish rectory and ask for a Mass to be offered for the specific intention of the end of abortion. Please e-mail us so we can record the day of the Mass and the Parish on our Rosary and Prayer Wall for Life.

Partial Birth Abortion
 Court Cases
 (Blocked by major media)

Three separate federal district courts are hearing testimony in the
case involving the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.

The hearings began March 29, 2003.
The major secular media has done a virtual blackout, because they do not want the general public to become aware of what unspeakable evil occurs hundreds of times every day in America.

We will try to post below all the latest events and Court Transcripts as they become available.
